14 Year old Baculna spanks veteran players, rules May 2010 Open chess

Lou Vincent Baculna, who turned 14 years old last May 7, 2010, won the May 2010 Edition of the monthly chess tournament held May 8-9, 2010 at the Alex and Al Cafe and Snackhouse, Sibalom, Antique. Baculna scored 4.5 points after five rounds. John Mark Grasparil took second place with 4 points. Von Steven Aquino finished with 3.5 points for third place. Tied for fourth to fifth places were Edwin Leabriz and Apolonio Fadrigo. Best female player is 12 year old Vea Alyssa Amedo with a decent 2.5 point output. 15 players participated.

I believe Pinoy chessplayers are as talented as the russians. but it's hard to focus on chess with RP's economy and weather. Daad mkbuol kita kang suporta sa gubyerno kang Antique, para ang tulad ni Lou atbp-ay maging nat'l beater,eventually world beater-rhobel legaspi
