Monthly Chess Tournament set on April 10-11

The monthly open chess tournament, April 2010 Edition, is set on April 10-11, 2010. this will be open to all interested. The tournament is on a 5-round Swiss system format, one hour play to finish. Play starts at 9:30 a.m. of April 10 at the Alex and Al cafe and Snackhouse, Sibalom, Antique. No registration fee is required.

Aquino wins March 2010 Open Chess

Von Steven Aquino wins again! After suffering an upset loss to Nick Contreras in the second round, he bounced back with 3 wins in a row to emerge solo Champion over 13 other partcipants in the March 2010 Edition of the monthly open chess tournament held last March 6-7, 2010 at Alex and Al cafe and Snackhouse, Sibalom, Antique. Edwin Leabriz, Eddie Beato, and Danny Maranon tied for second to fourth places.
