Nick Contreras and Von Steven Aquino tied for first place in the April 2009 Open Chess Tournamen held last April 4-5, 2009 at the Alex and Al Cafe and Snackhouse Sibalom , Antique. Nick Contreras, however, took the Champion Title via a higher tie break. Von Steven Aquino took second place and Edwin Leabriz placed Third.
