Deonato Petinglay and John Mark Grasparil tied for first in the March 2009 Edition of the Monthly Open Chess Tournament held last March 7-8, 2009 at Alex and Al cafe and Snackhouse.
It was a very exciting last round with the race for the top honors still wide open. John Mark Grasparil took the Championship Title via a higher tie-break.
